Thaily contacted me because she is starting out in her acting career, so she wanted to get some preliminary acting headshots. She had never done professional photoshoot before and was initially rather nevervous as we started the process. Knowing this was her first experience I spent time talking to her to develop a plan to capture the images she wanted to get.
In the end we decided to do a few on a plain grey backdrop and a few using the studio environment. We focused mainly on facial expressions and displaying personality through subtle pose and expression changes. For her first time in front of the camera she did a fantastic job, and I can’t wait to see where he career could take her.
For these shots I paid close attention to the lighting as I didn’t want to do a lot of post editing in order for her true character to show through.
