We here at Pixel Collector Photography were approached by the owner of a small startup company because they wanted to do a product photography session with their new all-natural product. For this particular product photography session he wanted to emphasize the benefits the products can have for athletes and those living an active lifestyle. I decided to take the photos at a local high school to take full advantage of the football field and the track. It was also agreed that it would be best to do the session during the early/mid-morning to get the best lighting for the shots.
These decisions were all driven by our initial consultation where I got to hear the vision and goals of the client. This is best done in person; however, this isn’t always possible, but no matter how you do it, never underestimate the importance of this meeting.
