Beauty Portrait Photography Sessions by Pixel Collector Photography

First of all I want to say thank you for your interest in a beauty portrait photography session with me, and I am so excited to hear what you have in mind for your session and how I can best serve you as we capture your vision!

From my experience, I think almost every woman struggles with feeling beautiful, loved, and accepted. Therefore, it is my goal that through your beauty portrait session I will not only take my years of photography experience to make you look beautiful, but feel beautiful as well. It gives me such great joy to see my clients start to smile as they see themselves and the beauty that is them. I’m not going to lie, this is a huge reason I am a photographer!

My goal is that when we are done you will be so overjoyed with the work we created, that you will proudly hand it in your home as a work of art.

Many people look at my work and think I only work with models. The reality is that most of the time I work with everyday women. For example, Amanda is a client of mine and I’ve worked with her on several occasions. She is an everyday woman, a wife, a makeup artist, and has suffered from several physical setbacks in her life, but in every session we have captured photos of her that celebrate her beauty and her feminity. I have even been able to get these photos published several times. You can see one of her published images to the right.

Step 1 — Consultaion and Booking

The consultation and booking phase. As stated previously, my goal for your beauty portrait session is to make you look and feel gorgeous by the time we are done. To accomplish this I need to hear from you. What are your goals for the session? Do you have any physical features you struggle with? What colors look best on you? Is there a certain type of outfit you feel is more flatering on you? This information sharing allows us to plan a session that not only helps us personalize it just for you, but greatly helps to ensure that we accomplish the goal of making you feel beautiful.

Step 2 — The Planning Phase

After the consultation and booking I will create a list of items that need to be completed for the completion of the session. For instance we may determine that you need to purchase wardrobe items and other props (flowers, candles, champagne, etc.), and I will need to book the hair and makeup artist (HMUA) or maybe find a location. This is all part of what makes your session personalized to your particular vision.

Step 3 — The Session

On the day of the beauty portrait session plan to arrive on time as you will immediately start with your hair and makeup artist (HMUA). This process can take up to an hour or a little longer, and these trusted professionals have schedules to keep. Once the makeup is done and wardrobe is completed your fully guided photography session will begin. If we are working in the studio you will have the opportunity to see your photos as we work. This not only boosts your confidence, but can help you see what I’m seeing and help you understand my pose instructions better. Once we are done, you can take a brief break while I get setup to review all your photos from the day. Here you will get an opportunity to pick the photos you want and order prints, albums, or other items.

Location sessions provide for slightly different challenges and therefore you will have to meet with the HMUA prior to the session and afterward meet me at the location. Often for an extra fee the HMUA will meet us on location, but this is not always possible. Also a separate appointment will be made for viewing the photos as that is not really possible on location.

Step 4 — Post Production

After your beauty portrait session I get to work on the post production process. This includes editing the photos you selected, preparing the gallery with a digital copy of the items you ordered, ordering the physical items from my professional lab, which is calibrated to ensure my prints look the way they are supposed to. Once everything is ready I will either hand deliver them or ship them to your home.

Firstly, I have been recognized as a world class photographer and I’ve have been published over 60 times in glamour, beauty, and fashion magazines in countries like France, Spain, Netherlands, and in the USA. Secondly, I truly respect my clients. Knowing that most of my beauty portrait session clients are not professional models, which are used to wardrobe changes wherever it is necessary, I am keenly aware of their needs and respect their personal space and privacy. I always show the utmost respect and provide a safe place to change, or I leave the room, or in some cases (like when we are on location) all I can do is turn around and wait to hear for the all clear. The point is that I work very hard to ensure my clients feel safe and secure.

Whenever possible I bring my wife or a female assistant with me during my beauty portrait sessions to help with wardrobe and provide another layer of protection for my clients. I also encourage clients to bring a trusted friend.
